Design, Scanning and System Time Charges
These charges cover time spent by us for any of the following: - Creating new artwork from design briefs. Laying-up or arranging supplied text, logo’s and images into a format for printing. Scanning of original pictures. Amending or altering existing artwork, including photo restoration and colour matching from scanned images. Consultation and advisory sessions in relation to design, artwork or setup. Although we do offer advice and information to customers as part of our service, we may impose charges, at our discretion, for sessions in excess of 1/2 hour.

Apart from the basic photo scan most of these processes will include an A4 proof on matt art paper and a copy of the final artwork on disc. Design processes will be proofed via e-mailed pdf files at various stages.

We offer a full design and artwork service to create or amend graphics and images to suit your needs. The very nature of a design task makes firm costing difficult to asses; the following may help give an idea of the costs involved in the design process. Please do not hesitate to contact us for an estimate of costs for design projects, as we can often quote a capped price for specific design work.

Design. Charged at an hourly rate, in 1/4 hour increments. £45.00 per hour.
- for design projects over 2 hours a reduced rate of £25.00 per hour will apply for subsequent hours.

Consultation / System Time. Hourly rate, in _ hour increments.
These costs will be incurred for consultation and advice sessions in connection with art print set up, and also image manipulation and amendment. £45.00 per hour.

Photo scan. To scan in from original picture of A3 size or less, burn to disc, and set up for printing £15.00.
- reductions may apply for multiple images, conditions apply.

Large photo scan. To scan in from original picture larger than A3 size, burn to disc, and set up for printing £25.00.
- please ask for quote of original images over A0 size.

Photo/ Image enhancement. (following scan or from supplied files)
To clean up image, reduce the appearance of cracks or damage to original photos, red-eye removal etc.

Also covers a basic on screen colour matching process. (1/2 hour) £10.00.
- A4 proof on matt art paper included.

Colour matching. To proof print and adjust artwork as required
to match, as close as possible, the original picture. Approx 1 hours system time. £25.00.
- A4 proofs on matt art paper included. (+ 1 A4 proof on final media)
